A healthful, locally focused dinner will be paired with sustainably produced wines enjoyed during the presentation from Deborah J Post MSN, ARNP, a Board Certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Marijuana was a popular botanical medicine in the 19th and early 20th centuries, common in US pharmacies of the time (and its use can actually be dated back to 2700 BC). Today a wealth of research shows marijuana does have amazing properties as a medicinal plant but its path to use is fraught with misconceptions, and legal craziness. Most people don’t have a real understanding of why it’s been vilified over the years but are curious and want to know more. This will be a discussion of the uses and journey of medical cannabis in our country.
For the healthfully indulgent side to the gathering, Chef Kristina San Filippo will present a live cooking demo for a 3-course seasonally focused dinner paired with wines. The menu will be the chef’s whimsical creations from what is the most stellar ingredients available that day.
The per guest seat of $74 includes the 3 course dinner, wines paired with each course, service and a fabulous evening with other members of the community who enjoy stellar food and an exceptional culinary experience! For a non-alcoholic beverage option our house juice blend or coconut water will happily be substituted for the wines. The wines poured at this dinner will be available for retail purchase by the bottle.
1st course: Heirloom Tomato & Microgreens Salad in Herb Vinaigrette
Entree: Braised Free Ranch Beef & Bison over Wild Rice Blend
Dessert: Seasonal Fruit Crisp
